Kurkuma Kapseln liposomal is a vegan dietary supplement containing turmeric sourced from the turmeric root, and vitamin C. The product is made using a liposomal technique we developed in partnership with scientists from the University of Marburg, which allows liposomes to form when they come into contact with liquids.
The recommended daily intake of three capsules provides the body with 200 mg of natural turmeric along with 12 mg of vitamin C. The pack contains a total of 90 capsules, so it lasts for about a month. The neutral-tasting capsules are not just easy to take, but also practical to carry with you.
What is turmeric?
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a plant belonging to the ginger family. Like ginger, its close relative, turmeric develops a so-called rhizome, a type of storage root, underground.
The plant, which originally comes from Asia, can reach up to a metre in height and has a deep orange-yellow coloured root. The turmeric root, as the turmeric plant is also appropriately named, is becoming increasingly popular in this part of the world too – not just in the kitchen, but also as a concentrated extract in dietary supplements such as “Kurkuma Kapseln liposomal”.
Why do the Kurkuma Kapseln liposomal contain vitamin C?
The vitamin supports normal collagen production, for example, for healthy bone and cartilage function. Vitamin C also has a variety of other roles and functions in the body (see below).
What does liposomal mean?
Liposomes are microscopic fluid-filled vesicles (bubbles). Their outer layer consists of minute lipid bilayers. They mimic the membranes (shells) of the body’s cells.
Liposomes are very stable on the one hand and very flexible on the other. They can be used as a transportation system and can be produced from
various fats or oils. In the case of Kurkuma Kapseln liposomal, we decided on liposomes made from plant-derived lecithin and highly-prized turmeric from the turmeric root.
Vitamin C in Liposomal Turmeric Capsules has many roles and functions, including:
