Homeopathic drug for improving urinary disorders accompanying benign prostate enlargement and bladder infections
Why does the prostate gland cause problems when passing urine?
The prostate gland surrounds the urethra in men and produces part of the fluid which is excreted via the urethra during ejaculation. The fluid facilitates sperm mobility, makes ejaculation less viscous and boosts sperm cell survival rates in the acidic vaginal environment.
From age 30 onwards prostate gland cells start to multiply. The prostate gland grows and therefore constricts the urethra which it surrounds. The consequences:
- Nighttime urination
- diminished urinary stream
- increased bladder discharge pressure
Many men notice such symptoms as early as in their Fifties. Every 2nd man aged 60 is affected. In the 9th decade of life approx. 90%.
Benign or malignant?
The growth of the prostate gland and the accompanying symptoms are a normal sign of aging. It is problematic that the symptoms noticed by sufferers cannot be so easily distinguished from those of a prostate tumor. Regular visits to a doctor (urologist) are therefore required.
