Pascoflair® Night: Triple plant combination for a dreamy sleep

For centuries, passion flower, valerian and lemon balm have been well-established medicinal herbs. In Pascoflair® Night, these ingredients supplement each other in a harmonious blend – relaxing the nerves and promoting sleep.

After a strenuous and stressful day, your body and mind need a restful sleep. A healthy sleep has various phases in which different parts of the body are active. The first phases of deep sleep are, for example, used by the immune system to create immune cells. In an active REM phase (REM = Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, blood flow and metabolic processes in the brain increase while the muscles relax. Now is the time for dreaming, sorting and storing information that has been consciously or unconsciously perceived, and for processing feelings such as anger, stress, and excitement.

Relaxation is considered as the ideal route for a restful sleep, as Dr Hans-Günter Wees, Head of the Interdisziplinäres Schlafzentrum am Pfalzklinikum Klingenmünster, summarizes. And after a good night's sleep, you can face the challenges of everyday life the next day feeling rested.

Find your way to a restful sleep

Falling and staying asleep is difficult for many people. The reasons for this are varied, and range from external factors, such as too much light in the bedroom, to the diet. A large meal or caffeinated drinks in the evening can have a negative effect. Sleep disorders during menopause, midlife crises, or other difficult periods of life are also common. People often lack the mental relaxation and the ability to let go of reciprocal thoughts in order to fall sleep.

Sleep can be positively affected by a variety of behaviours and rituals. The ideal sleep duration and quality of sleep vary from person to person, as does the path to a healthy sleep. A sleep diary can offer you some initial pointers.
