Solution for injection.
Folsäure Injektopas® 5 mg is a vitamin preparation
Prophylaxis and treatment of folic acid deficiency if oral folic acid substitution is not possible, or if rapid correction of a pronounced deficiency is urgently necessary.
Do not self-treat with injections.
The injection therapy should be administered by a doctor or alternative practitioner.
Method of administration:
Solution for injection for intravenous or intramuscular use
For treatment of severe folic acid deficiency:
daily: 0.2 ml - 1 ml (equivalent to 1 - 5 mg folic acid)
For prophylaxis:
As needed: 0.2 ml - 1 ml daily (equivalent to 1 - 5 mg folic acid)
Duration of use:
The duration of treatment depends on the extent of the folic acid deficiency, is dictated by the clinical picture and, if applicable, the corresponding laboratory diagnostic measures, and is determined by the doctor for each patient.
