For all of the body’s important metabolic functions to run optimally, the acid-base balance needs to be well-regulated. Today's lifestyle habits can affect your acid-base balance: Do you eat a lot of meat, sausage and cheese, but little fruit and vegetables? Do you smoke? Do you drink alcohol?
