Herbal swelling agent for regulating bowel movements
Active ingredient: Indian psyllium seed husks, ground, 2.5 g in 5 g of powder to be taken after preparation of a suspension. Herbal drug for a) treatment of habitual constipation; b) in conditions in which easy defaecation with soft stool is desirable, e.g. in cases of painful defaecation after rectal surgery, anal fissures or haemorrhoids; c) for patients to whom an increased daily fibre intake may be advisable, e.g. as an adjuvant in constipation predominant irritable bowel syndrome, and as an adjuvant to diet in hypercholesterolemia. Contains lactose.
