Outstandingly innovative: PASCOE Naturmedizin

As cool as a start-up company, even 120 years on

Success through entrepreneurial vision: PASCOE is among the most innovative mid-sized German companies. At the German "Mittelstand" Summit in Essen the company was honored last night as one of the most innovative mid-sized German companies. "Top 100" - Mentor Ranga Yogeshwar honored the Giessen company with the "Top 100" seal, which has been awarded for over 20 years. During the application procedure PASCOE underwent a scientific process of analysis. The result: PASCOE can once again term itself the Top Innovator and for the fourth time.

In the competition the pharmaceutical company chiefly convinced through its innovative marketing. Ingenuity is much in demand in this area, because manufacturers of natural remedies want to satisfy very demanding customer requirements. For example, the 2014 PASCOE study revealed that people want more knowledge of naturopathic alternatives on the part of their pharmacists. To meet this need for information, PASCOE provides webinars for this target group via the "Apotheken-Online-Akademie".

The Top-Innovator from Giessen has recently and also very successfully started using on-line tools and social media campaigns.

This includes using the Aponow on-line service. To be able to provide PASCOE's customers with a swift delivery service and to simultaneously boost sales from local pharmacies in Germany, the company is offering a new ordering option through the Aponow on-line service. The tool uniquely combines the advantages of the on-line and off-line world. The purveyors bring all German pharmacies onto the web irrespective of whether they have their own homepage or not.  

Another component of innovative marketing is intensive communication through social media. Annette D. Pascoe, Management: "We interact with our customers with a healthy mixture of entertainment and scientific information. A big fan community thanks us for the exchange with frequent likes. This shows that we are in touch with the latest trends here, too. Our motivation in innovating is to preserve the treasures of nature. We already introduced paperless production and administration well over 10 years ago. Today and in the future we want to reach all our customers in the most environmentally friendly way possible and we are continually developing our digital communication tools."

Jürgen F. Pascoe, Managing Director and grandson of the firm's founder is pleased about being awarded the TOP 100 seal, too: "Our good ideas and their speedy implementation is a key competitive factor for us. So we invest a great deal of time and effort in managing our innovations. We rely here on the inventiveness of all our employees. I sincerely thank them for achieving the honor. It is a marvelous feeling to run a company which every day makes the world a bit better place."

The honor with the "Top 100" seal is based on a two-stage analysis developed by Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke of the Vienna University of Economics. Professor Dr. Franke and his scientists probe innovative management and successful innovations by mid-sized companies using over 100 parameters in five categories. The scientific management alone decides who is ultimately honored with the "Top 100" seal.
