Aronia vital: a powerful blend of aronia berry and acerola fruit
Aronia melanocarpa, also known as chokeberry, is a true “super food”, because the aronia berry has one of the highest anthocyanin contents. The oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC) are their precursor. The anthocyanins give the aronia berry its dark purple colour and protect the plant from stresses.
Because of its very high anthocyanin content, aronia berry can serve as an optimum supplement in conscious human nutrition.
Acerola cherry - rich in natural vitamin C
Acerola (Malpighia glabra or punicifolia) is called a cherry, but is not related to the cherry. The stone fruit comes from tropical South America, where its value was long appreciated by the Mayans. The acerola is particularly interesting due to its enormously high vitamin C content, which even surpasses that of highly vitamin C-rich fruits such as sea buckthorn or rosehip.
